Brussels - The BSCI started a series of stakeholder meetings today, bringing together representatives of organisations concerned with corporate social responsibility.

The objective is to discuss the challenges ahead and identify actions to sustainably improve working conditions in supplying countries. The BSCI, which is a business driven initiative for the improvement of working conditions in supply chains globally, considers that any lasting progress in social responsibility needs the involvement of all concerned stakeholders. Since its creation in 2003, the BSCI is developing close relations with its stakeholders. These relations are moving from a consultation process to a broader dialogue and strategic collaboration around common challenges and projects.
