CSR and Chinese enterprises

China - The Economics Department of the Chinese Academy of Social Science released the China CSR Bluebook 2009.

CSR Asia reports that in this newly released CSR Bluebook, CASS published a CSR Index of the top 100 Chinese enterprises based on an evaluation of “responsible management [defined as including a CSR strategy plan, anti-bribery measures and systems, and so on], market responsibility [defined as responsibilities to clients, shareholders and partners], social responsibility and environment responsibility”. The top ten on the Index are: China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company (COSCO), State Grid, China Mobile, Datang Corporation, Huaneng Group, Bao Steel, Lenevo, China National Offshore Oil (CNOOC), China Railway and Ping An Insurance.
