LONDON – A new exhibition on sustainable fashion at the Science Museum in London features a dress made from PLA textiles which is dyed during the fibre production process with innovative colourless molecules derived from natural resources
The new dress is part of an exhibition called ‘Trash Fashion: Designing out waste’, which addresses the issue of how British consumers ? tempted by rock-bottom prices – are now buying a third more clothing than a decade ago resulting in over a million tonnes of textile waste ending up in landfill each year.
