NEW YORK –Anvil Knitwear’s latest greenhouse gas life cycle assessment (LCA), this time for its AnvilSustainable t-shirt, has shown that the product has a 15% smaller footprint compared to the company’s conventional cotton tee.
The analysis of the AnvilSustainable tee, which is made from recycled PET plastic bottles and transitional cotton, grown on farms making the switch to organic processes, found the footprint to be 3.29 kgCO(2)e/tee and illustrated a saving of three plastic bottles from going into a landfill for each tee.
