focusDEARBORN - The Ford Motor company is to use cotton sourced from post-consumer, recycled denim in the interior of the new 2012 Focus model as part of a wider campaign to increase the use of eco-friendly materials.

The use of recycled cotton, which will be used as carpet backing and sound absorption material, is part of the company's ‘reduce, reuse and recycle’ strategy to reduce its environmental footprint while at the same time accelerating the development of advanced, fuel-efficient vehicle technologies around the world.
