HAMBURG - Anvil Knitwear has joined the Cotton made in Africa Demand Alliance, the first US apparel manufacturer to do so.
New York-based Anvil is the largest domestic purchaser of US-grown certified organic cotton and its membership of the Demand Alliance, a group of international textile companies that take up sustainably produced cotton and process it further for the global market, will be a significant boost for the initiative.
