RITE logoLONDON – The not-for-profit RITE Group will run a series of seminars on textiles and sustainability at the upcoming Texworld exhibition in cooperation with Messe Frankfurt which organises the four-day event in Paris next month.

Visitors to this year’s Texworld exhibition will be able to tune in to a series of one hour seminars from the RITE Group which aims to give buyers’ and fabric sourcing professionals a basic introduction to sustainability in the textiles sector.

The free-to-attend seminars will run on the first three consecutive days of the fabric sourcing show from 19 – 21st September and give an environmental perspective on sourcing raw materials, fabric dyeing, standards and certification and transparency and traceability.

RITE will also have a booth in the new eco-lounge  at Texworld along with the likes of GOTS, the Soil Association and WRAP, where a small team of RITE experts and associates will be able to dispense advice on environmental sourcing for both visitors and exhibitors alike.

“RITE was formed to promote a reduction of the environmental impact of all textiles and we have not wavered from that fundamental aim,” noted Phil Patterson, Chairman of the RITE Group. “We have always attempted to inform and educate retail brands and the industry so they can take steps to source lower impact materials made by lower impact production routes. The delivery of free seminars and expert advice for Texworld delegates demonstrates our commitment to improving understanding of sustainability issues and we anticipate that our independent, fact-based approach we be welcomed by those trying to negotiate their way through the complex world of eco-textiles.”

If you're going to be at Texworld this September why not drop the RITE Group a quick note in advance with your query to ensure that RITE can help as many people as possible during the show.
