UK organic textiles market still buoyant

SABRISTOL - Textiles once again remained one of the brightest sectors of the UK organic industry with sales of certified organic textile products licensed by the Soil Association growing by 2% in 2011 despite the fact that overall UK sales of organic products fell by 3.7% last year to a value of £1.67 billion.

The Textile Engineer will research and develop new component parts and processes for products to meet specific performance or aesthetic criteria. The candidate will research and develop new ideas and techniques, including sources drawn from other industries.

The position requires working closely with resources to address issues that arise in new development or with quality assurance on existing products.
