WRAP Tender opportunities: Bid for project work now

Written by Haydn Davis

altTo support the work of the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan, WRAP is commissioning new project work. WRAP is looking for individuals or teams to bring industry knowledge and expertise to support their team working with the clothing sector. These tender opportunities will enable you to strategically input into WRAP’s future clothing work and help shape the development of the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan, as it moves into a new phase.

Do you have expert knowledge of clothing design, and the textiles and clothing industry?

WRAP, a not-for-profit company backed by government funding from England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, is commissioning a number of new clothing projects, to support the development of the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan, these include:

  • Providing specialist technical support to help implement the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan 2020 Commitment – sector-wide action to reduce the environmental footprint of clothing.
  • Developing an approach to measuring, specifying and communicating aspects of clothing longevity.
  • Developing a training package for product sourcing teams, including designers, to promote resource efficiency in the UK clothing industry.
  • Being part of WRAP’s clothing technical framework – advising WRAP and delivering support.

Visit www.wrap.org.uk/clothing for more information.

These opportunities will enable you to strategically input into WRAP’s future clothing work and help shape the development of the existing Sustainable Clothing Action Plan, as it moves into a new phase. Future opportunities could include the development of tools, industry guidance and protocols, reporting processes, research and technical reports.

Email clothing@wrap.org.uk to hear about future tender opportunities and to be kept up to date with the progress of the Sustainable Clothing Action Plan.
