FTC updates Green Guidance

FTC logoWASHINGTON — The US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has this week updated its ‘Green Guides’ that are designed to help marketers ensure the environmental claims they make about their products are properly substantiated. The new guidance also warns against companies making marketing claims or certifications for “environmentally” or “eco-friendly” products such as those in textiles.
