BELGIUM – Despite the new environmental assessment tool still being in its infancy, both the European Commission and the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are understood to be already examining the Higg Index, developed by the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), presumably with a view to using it as the potential basis for future legislative measures.
