BANGLADESH – The CEO of global fashion brand H&M, Karl-Johan Persson, has met with the president of Bangladesh to make the case for increasing the wages of textiles workers, despite the fact it could mean rising costs for the Swedish retailer. alt

The focus of Persson’s visit was his talks with the country’s President Sheik Hasina that the whole country would benefit from a wage increase, in addition to its lowly paid textile workers.
