Wool looks to prove its eco credentials

Merino sheepBRUSSELS – Leading global wool organisations are ramping up their efforts to establish improved information about wool’s environmental credentials in the wake of a review of available wool research that suggests it is currently difficult to provide “a single defensible quantification of the environmental impact of wool from existing published LCAs.”

The Textile Engineer will research and develop new component parts and processes for products to meet specific performance or aesthetic criteria. The candidate will research and develop new ideas and techniques, including sources drawn from other industries.

The position requires working closely with resources to address issues that arise in new development or with quality assurance on existing products.
