IDSTEIN – Jack Wolfskin has called for European legislation to outlaw the use of fluorocarbons and associated hazardous chemicals in water and stain-repellant clothing as it fast-tracks its own plans to use newer, less harmful alternatives. And the company says it has also committed to the complete elimination of PFOA's by autumn/winter 2013 – in all but the most sophisticated applications, such as alpine sports and mountaineering.
