China toughens stance on chemical pollution

China_waterBEIJING – A new document released by China’s environment ministry sets out commitments to clean up chemical pollution and targets the textile industry – among others – with a stricter chemical management plan as the government appears to acknowledge, for the first time, the existence of so-called ‘cancer villages’.
