DyStar begins second indigo line

Written by Brett Mathews

dystarNANJING – Global textile auxiliaries and colorants supplier, DyStar Group, has successfully started trial production of a second Indigo line at its state of the art manufacturing hub in Nanjing, China, a month ahead of schedule.

The latest technology and several process improvements from DyStar’s first experience at the Nanjing plant, and from the company’s global team in Ludwigshafen, have been implemented.

Earlier in the year, DyStar started to transfer the production of textile chemicals within China to its Nanjing facility which, says the company, manufactures dyes to high global standards of quality, occupational safety and environmental protection, contributing to a more sustainable textiles industry.

Production output at the Nanjing plant will be gradually increased until the capacity of 12,000 metric tons per year for the second Indigo line is reached.
