oc picTEXAS – Organic cotton output fell by eight per cent from 2011-2012, a drop largely attributed to the conflict in Syria – the world’s second largest organic cotton producer in this period. New figures in the Textile Exchange’s Farm & Fibre Report also show that almost three quarters (74 per cent) of the world’s organic cotton is now produced in India.
