BANGLADESH – The steering committee of the Accord on Fire and Building Safety in Bangladesh, representing over seventy leading apparel retailers and brands including H&M, Inditex, and Primark, worker trade unions and NGOs, has announced how it will implement improvements of safety conditions in the Bangladesh garment industry, whilst counter response group, the Bangladesh Worker Safety Initiative, made mostly of North American retailers including Walmart and Gap, will reportedly announce further details of its Bangladesh Worker Safety Initiative action plan tomorrow.
