Beximco trials: up-cycling viable on mass production scale

Recycled clothingDHAKA – One of Bangladesh’s largest textile manufacturers has completed a series of trials which prove how up-cycling can be viably carried out on a mass-production scale with massive environmental benefits. Beximco carried out the trials working with renowned European up-cycling designer, Dr Reet Aus, and is now looking to tie in with major brands which, says Beximco, “see sustainability as part of their core business.”

The Textile Engineer will research and develop new component parts and processes for products to meet specific performance or aesthetic criteria. The candidate will research and develop new ideas and techniques, including sources drawn from other industries.

The position requires working closely with resources to address issues that arise in new development or with quality assurance on existing products.
