BCI clarifies expansion plans

bciGENEVA – The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) has provided further details to Ecotextile News about its ambitious expansion strategy, including how it intends to train the necessary farmers and funding streams for the strategy. This follows the release of a BCI report last month which revealed plans to expand production worldwide so that Better Cotton accounts for 30 per cent of overall cotton production by 2020 – plans which our columnist, Simon Ferrigno, questioned in terms of their cost and feasibility.
