Written by John Mowbray

Norwegian flagOSLO – The Norwegian government will provide NOK 14.3 million (US$2.35M) in funding for the Ethical Trading Initiative Norway (ETI) to actively pursue programmes to improve conditions for textile workers in China, Vietnam, India and Bangladesh. “We must do whatever we can to ensure that the textile industry has safe workplaces with decent pay and good working conditions – for both men and women,” says Minister of International Development Heikki Eidsvoll Holmås.
