GENEVA – Businesses are saying one thing yet doing another with regards to sustainability, while supplier sustainability is the top barrier for large companies as they try to improve their environmental performance. These are two key findings of a new report by the United Nations Global Compact. The report draws on feedback from almost 2,000 of the initiative’s 8,000 member companies, and its results echo many of the findings of Ecotextile News’ research into sustainability efforts in the global textiles sector.
