GENEVA - A major global study of more than 1,000 CEOs has found that a third are actively seeking to employ circular economy models. The UN Global Compact-Accenture CEO Study on Sustainability 2013 surveyed more than 1,000 top executives from 27 industries across 103 countries on sustainable business issues and found that closed loop business models were a “recurring theme” in CEO interviews. The circular economy concept is gaining credence as a long-term solution to help create a more sustainable textiles industry.
