Sweden wants tighter rules on textile chemicals

Washed denimSTOCKHOLM – The Swedish Chemicals Agency recently submitted new proposals to the EU, which would further restrict the placing of textiles on the market that contain traces of hormone-disrupting nonylphenol  (NP) derived from detergents, scouring agents and other surfactants used in textile production.
