SHANGHAI – Early details of the new version of the Higg Index, plans for a new report on textile pollution in China, and an explanation of how VF Corporation now sees China as a growing market for its brands – rather than just a manufacturing hub – all featured at the annual Planet Textiles conference on sustainability in textiles. The event was held here in Shanghai yesterday alongside the giant Intertextile Apparel Fabrics show, which features over 3200 exhibitors. John Mowbray reports from China.
