Calls for better clothing recycling rates

Written by Brett Mathews

USagainCHICAGO – Leading clothing recycle business, USAgain, has announced that it collected 55 million pounds of textiles last year. The company, which has more than 14,000 textile recycling locations in the US, has also called on more consumers to recycle their clothing to address a situation which presently sees Americans recycling just 15 per cent of their clothing. The rest ends up in garbage disposal, according to data from the US Environmental Protection Agency.
