MUNICH - Rolf Schmid, CEO of Mammut Sports Group, has been elected as new president of the European Outdoor Group. The EOG confirmed the news at its Annual Assembly, which took place just prior to ISPO, during which it also reaffirmed its commitment to addressing sustainability issues in textiles while also firming up details of the 2014 European Outdoor Summit (EOS), which will be held in Tegernsee near Munich, on 15 and 16 October 2014.
