bangDHAKA - Garment factory owners are being forced to soak up much of the cost of increased wages in Bangladesh – limiting the amount of money available for safety improvements. As retail buyers move orders to other low cost countries such as India, Cambodia and Vietnam, Bangladesh’s export growth has slowed to its lowest rate for 15 years, according to a report from Reuters news agency which canvassed opinion from a number of factory owners in Bangladesh.
