VICTORIA - Crailar, the US-based flax fibre business, has announced the resignation of Ken Barker as its chief executive officer and director of the company. Lesley Hayes, chair of Crailar's board of directors, has been appointed as interim CEO at the business, which has seen its share price plummet by more than 50 per cent during the past 12 months as it looks to iron out production and operational issues at its European manufacturing facility in Belgium. Companies using Crailar Flax include HanesBrands and Target Corp.
