REINACH – Sustainability will remain a "core driver" of Archroma, the global textile dyes and auxiliaries business which is looking to more than double in size into a US$3 billion business in five years through acquisition and organic growth. Archroma CEO Alexander Wessels and Thomas Winkler, Archroma president textile specialties, recently spoke exclusively to Ecotextile News about the pending acquisition of BASF Textile Chemicals and how Archroma intends to grow and tackle environmental issues going forward. John Mowbray reports from Reinach, Switzerland.

"Culturally the acquisition is a very good move for us", noted Winkler. "Sustainability will remain one of the core drivers of the Archroma business going forward and we will remain actively engaged to support environmental initiatives such as the SAC and the ZDHC. It's fundamental to our operations.
