ARLINGTON – There are new concerns in the USA that a chemical used as an essential building block for the production of elastane fibres could become heavily restricted after proposals from the World Health Organisation’s (WHO)  to list 1,4-Butanediol (BDO) under Schedule I of the 1971 United Nations Convention on Psychotropic Substances.
