WASHINGTON – A record US$1 billion was spent on organic fibres in America last year, according to a new report by the Organic Trade Association (OTA). The annual report showed a rise of over 11 per cent (to US$39 billion) in organic products sales across the country, with organic fibres – including cotton and wool – representing around 2.5 per cent of that figure.
