Cotton facts from the Fairtrade Foundation

LONDON - As the garment industry prepares to mark two years since the Rana Plaza building collapse, the Fairtrade Foundation is calling on fashion brands to pay the “true cost” for cotton. Cotton is failing to provide a profitable livelihood for millions of small-scale farmers in Asia and Africa, warns the foundation.
