NEW YORK – A programme of sustainable textiles and fashion seminars, lectures, and discussions will be hosted next month by the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), New York. The sessions, according to FIT, will cover a variety of textiles and processes, including reinventing and revaluing traditional practices, such as hand weaving and other artisanal skills, new developments in bio-engineering and technology, and its role in sustainable fashion.
