COPENHAGEN - Danish apparel business Bestseller has followed in the footsteps of brands such as Primark and C&A by setting up a new charitable foundation. The retailer, whose brands include Jack&Jones and Name It, has established the Bestseller Foundation to provide loans and equity to entrepreneurs and businesses that can help fight poverty in Africa, China and India. The new Foundation will place the emphasis on "business rather than donations" and, as such, will invest in projects and businesses that will "create jobs, produce more food and help poor communities and ecosystems become more sustainable."
