Closed loop textile report goes to press

Written by Brett Mathews

WAKEFIELD – MCL Global this week publishes a new report which - for the first time – presents a serious investigation into the challenges apparel retailers face in shifting to an alternative 'closed loop' business model. Among other things, the report offers the most complete picture yet of the technical issues facing researchers and start-up businesses involved in chemical textile-textile recycling, and examines in detail how close this work is to commercialisation. Closing The Loop includes insight from Dutch cooperative Circle Economy, I:Collect, and a range of other influential textile industry insiders, as well as brands including Nike, Inditex, adidas, Puma, and Timberland.
