Consumers in dark on fluorine chemistry safety

Written by Brett Mathews

LEICESTER – The vast majority of consumers are not aware of the negative environmental impacts associated with fluorine-based Durable Water Repellents (DWR) according to a new study. Research among more than 1,000 consumers in the UK, Germany, the US and Scandinavia found 70 per cent of consumers are in the dark about the negative environmental impacts associated with DWRs.
