BCI launches growth fund

GENEVA - The Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) has launched a new funding mechanism aimed at boosting Better Cotton projects globally and helping advance the goal of reaching five million farmers and accounting for 30 per cent of global cotton production by 2020. The Growth and Innovation Fund will invest in capacity building programmes that train cotton producers to optimise inputs, use chemicals more safely, increase yields and generate higher profits.
