WASHINGTON – US-based seed and agro-chemicals company, Monsanto, has filed a lawsuit in California in a bid to prevent glyphosate, the main ingredient in its Roundup herbicide, from being added to the state's list of known carcinogens. Use of Roundup herbicide is widespread in cotton growing.
