WASHINGTON — The US Customs and Border Protection Commissioner has ordered the detention of all viscose imports from Tangshan Sanyou Group – a manufacturer which recently signed up to Canopy's pulp procurement policy – due to concerns over the use of forced labour. The move comes less than a month after Tangshan joined the high profile pulp procurement policy of environmental NGO Canopy, along with five other Chinese viscose suppliers.
