WAKEFIELD – Environmental NGO Canopy has said it will talk to senior management at Chinese viscose manufacturer, Tangshen Sanyou, before deciding on a course of action, in response to yesterday's Ecotextile News report that US Customs has ordered the detention of all viscose imports from Tangshan Sanyou Group due to concerns over the use of forced labour. Tangshan only recently joined the high profile pulp procurement policy of Canopy, along with five other Chinese viscose suppliers.
