ZURICH – Textile certification business, Oeko-Tex, has clarified with Ecotextile News the rationale behind the launch of its Eco Passport for the certification of environmentally responsible textiles. Oeko-Tex has previously been involved in the development of another certification - also called Eco Passport – however, while a number of companies still hold this certificate, it was only offered by a handful of third-party institutes such as the Hohenstein Institute and Testex Swiss Textile Testing.
