Apparel brands call for action on mulesing

TEXAS - Apparel brands have told Textile Exchange they would not use the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) if it allowed mulesing during a stakeholder feedback meeting in the run-up to the launch of the new wool industry standard. However, TE has said that mulesing "will not be eliminated overnight," and added that "there may not be enough immediate supply of non-mulesed wool to meet demand."
