AMSTERDAM – The issue of potentially hazardous chemicals in textile supply chains rises to the top of the agenda this week with the imminent publication of the latest Greenpeace report on the hazards associated with Perfluorinated Chemicals (PFCs). Greenpeace's report will be presented at OutDoor, Europe’s leading trade fair for the outdoor sector, operated by the European Outdoor Group and taking place in Friedrichshafen. Meanwhile today, the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals group has presented a publication for public review of its proposed wastewater discharge guidelines. As part of the review, the ZDHC is inviting textile industry stakeholders – including representatives from government, civil society, the private sector and other interested stakeholders – to contribute to the development of the ZDHC Wastewater Guidelines.
