AHRENSBURG – Four projects which are aiming to enable more circular ways of working in the global textile and apparel industry have been honoured by clothing take-back business I: Collect during a presentation at the huge textile sorting and recycling plant of parent company Soex. Ecotextile News was the only European trade publication to attend the presentation, which also saw delegates gain an insight into the workings of the Soex plant which sorts a staggering 350 tonnes of used clothing textiles each day, 85,000 tonnes each year, with the sorting being done by a staff of 600 people working over three shifts.
