Tchibo presses case for supply chain due dilligence

HAMBURG - The urgent need for greater due diligence in global textile supply chains was pressed home during a presentation at this year's Textile Exchange sustainability conference in Germany where Achim Lohrie, director corporate responsibility with Tchibo, suggested he would like to see laws for due diligence in supply chains. "As a minimum we need better administrative enforcement of national laws in supply chains, while [for multi-nationals there needs to be] compulsory reporting on CSR measures being taken in supply chains."
