VERONA –Italian synthetic fibre business Fulgar has complete a life cycle assessment (LCA) process in which it compared the environmental impact of its 6,6 recycled nylon fibres with other fibres such as cotton. The company attempted to measure the impact of producing 1kg of PA 6.6 textured yarn, considering aspects such as the consumption of water, electricity and renewable energy sources as well as wastewater, air emissions, waste production and transport.
