BEIJING - Stricter, better enforced anti-pollution laws are reducing environmental violations in China and forcing most country's most polluting sectors – of which textiles is one – to get their act together. That's the view of a leading Chinese academic who assessed in-depth the impact of China's amended Environmental Protection Law (EPL) which came into force in January 2015 following more than 25 years without revision. The academic’s findings tie in with the research of the recently published China Textile Sourcing report which, among other things, looks at environmental legislation in China’s textile sector.
