AMSTERDAM – The ZDHC Foundation, has today launched its official “Implementation Hub”, which aims to help to scale up chemical and environmental management in the textile, apparel, footwear and leather industries. David Styles reports from the ‘Friends of the ZDHC’ event in Amsterdam.
The ZDHC, which aims to guide the textile sector towards the zero discharge of hazardous chemicals, says the new hub will be a vehicle to drive continuous improvements through baselining, strategy setting and implementation based on a support service of ZDHC accredited experts.
The first projects under the hub will begin in January 2018 with individual ZDHC signatory brands and at country level with an initial focus on Italy, India and China.
