DHAKA - Textile workers in Bangladesh have been awarded a 75% rise in their minimum wage - however, the new level of BDT 10,000 ($90) per month has been branded insufficient by trade unions.

It comes three months after the country's garment workers were awarded a 56% rise to BDT 12,500 ($114) per month after a series of violent protests in which at least four people died.
